Do you accept insurance? What if I don’t have it?
Yes, we accept all major health insurances including El Paso Medicare plans. If you don’t have insurance or your insurance does not cover a portion of your treatment, we offer a sliding scale payment plan to help you access the care your or your loved one need. Click here to verify your insurance.
Is my mental health care confidential?
Yes, everything you share stays private and La Familia del Paso abides by HIPPA compliance. The only exception is if there are serious safety concerns.
What’s your cancellation policy?
We respectfully ask that customers give a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. We understand that emergencies can arise, so don’t hesitate to contact our office at 915-532-9434 to make any changes.
What can I expect at the Adult Day Treatment Program?
The Adult Day Treatment Program is a weekday program that assists adults with mental and behavioral health support and is designed to maintain the active and social daily life of our consumers. Click here to learn more.

What if I or someone I know is feeling suicidal?
Please seek immediate assistance. You can call 911, or the Suicide or Crisis Lifeline at 988. (English and Spanish languages spoken.)

No, you can make an appointment directly with La Familia del Paso by calling our office at 915-532-9434.
What behavioral/mental health concerns does La Familia del Paso treat?
We treat a variety of mental and behavioral health conditions using evidence-based treatment. Click here to learn more. 
What happens during my first appointment?
We'll start by having you fill out a detailed mental health history form. After that, you'll sit down with one of our team members to go through a needs and strengths assessment. This Q&A session helps us understand your unique needs so we can put together a treatment plan that's just right for you.
How long are my rehabilitation sessions?
Sessions run about 60 minutes and vary in frequency depending on your treatment plan.
What is psychosocial rehabilitation? Does it work?
Psychiatric Rehabilitation is an evidence-based specialized mental health treatment that focuses on improving the overall quality of life of individuals. Our Rehabilitation Specialists not only provide symptom management, and medication management, but offer comprehensive support through things like nutrition counseling, hygiene skills, and financial planning assistance if needed.
